What i need to know is exactly how do a clean install on a new system with the upgrade that is a download. I have looked online and found a ton of answers for this, but does anyone know which way is the easiest and safest way to do this in my particular case? Has anyone done this and confirmed it will work? I just don't want to mess something up

At 10:10 AM, Pat said...: It is easiest to use the disk you got in the mail to do the upgrade. What Operating System are you upgrading from? Do you have a way to back up all you data? Here are the steps we would take.

1. Make a full backup of the system as all data and programs will be lost.
2. Make sure you have disks or can download all the programs you need to reinstall.

3. Put the disk in and follow the wizard. Choose advanced on disk options and wipe everything out for the fresh install. You can also setup any partitions etc. here.
4. Install all programs you want to use
5. Restore data from backup.
